ABOUT US

Sousa Tutor Corp started as a tutoring business founded by Marcus Sousa on July 10, 2015. As 2020, we became a private school in the state of Florida. Our objective is to provide a unique learning experience to help students achieve academic success. At SousaTutor.com we always have high expectations for all students regardless of any learning barrier they may have or encounter.

Marcus Sousa is known for 10+ years as a tutor in Coconut Creek. He first started tutoring a couple students in his neighborhood until he realized it was not just a hobby, it was a career. Today, a math adjunct in the morning and an entrepreneur in the afternoon, Sousa has inspired many students to achieve their academic goals and pursue a career in something they enjoy.

Sousa believes that all subjects should be taught using analogy as how they can be implemented in life. Therefore, students would find the true meaning of each concept and fully understand it’s importance.

Professor Sousa earned a bachelor’s degree in secondary math education at Broward College and became certified as a tutor by the College Reading & Learning Association.

Academic Mentoring

Our students are treated as if they were our own children. We know how important their academic success is to you. We don’t just motivate them to get good grades, we strive to help students find a purpose to study.
Every student has an unique talent and a great potential to do great things. As part of our mentoring program, we help students find and pursue a career in something they enjoy. Yet, always keeping in mind that it is not about the money, it is about finding a hobby and making a career out of it.

Homeschool

Study online from the comfort of your home in a schedule that best works for you. We provide homeschooling services as a private school for grades kindergarten through 12th grade. As a private school, you will no longer have to worry about having your child take standardized tests from public k-12 school. We provide the school curriculum in a fun learning environment where your child can learn the essential skills to prepare them for a successful journey at college and in the workforce. Our homeschooling service includes tutoring to ensure your child is getting the academic supported needed to thrive.

Our program includes:

- Educational games where students learn school content while having fun.
- Prerecorded videos delivered in an easy to understand format.
- Accelerated math and reading programs.
- Tutoring & tech support Monday through Friday (1 hour per day).
- Academic mentoring and preparation for the workforce.
- Preparation for college enrollment.
- Important basic life skills such as: financial literacy, healthy lifestyle and much more.

Homework Support

We understand how challenging homework can be at times. Regardless of any learning barrier you may have or a specific topic you don’t understand. Do not worry, we are here to help you.
Note that we encourage students to try to get their homework done as soon as possible. Depending on how much the student is struggling, the length and amount of homework, the student may need more than one session to complete it.

Assistance with school project

From digital to hands on activities. We have helped students with many school projects such as: Cereal Box, Board Games, Science Fair Projects, Flyers, Brochures, Blogs, Websites, And Much More

Assistance applying for scholarships

We help students find and apply for financial assistance to pursue their academic dreams. We help students step by step with their application to both financial aid and scholarship applications.

Test preparations

We help students get prepared for tests. Not limited to just regular k-12 school tests, but also other tests such as: EOC, FSA, PERT, SAT, ACT
